报告摘要:
NovelFG-GPLRCs are multilayer functionally graded materials reinforced with graphenenanoplatelets (GPLs) that are non-uniformly distributed in matrix according toa layer-wise variation. Such nanocomposite materials offer unique advantageswith significantly improved mechanical properties by making the best use of theextraordinary properties of graphene reinforcementsthe beneficialattributes of functionally graded materials to simultaneously meet differentstructural performance requirements, making it ideal candidate for thedevelopment of new generation composite structures. Since first proposed in2017, FG-GPLRC has become a fast growing emerging area of extensive researchefforts worldwide. This talk presents the latest developments in this area, with a particular focus on (1) the fabrication of FG-GPLRCitsstress-strain relationship; (2) atomistic study on its temperature-dependentmechanical propertiespull-out test with the effects of vacancy defects andhydrogen functionalization; (3) linearnonlinear dynamic behaviour ofFG-GPLRC structures; (4) key technical issuesmajor challenges for futureresearch on FG-GPLRC.
